St George's School takes pride in being a happy and caring community, where academic attainment, supportive pastoral care and a variety of activities combine to offer an excellent education for all pupils.

Our first concern is for the individual. We aim:-
To develop happy, confident children, who are effective communicators.
To establish each pupil’s abilities in all areas of a broad and challenging curriculum, and to extend him/her to their full potential, rewarding effort as well as achievement.
To offer a high quality of education and continually seek to improve academic standards.
To provide a friendly and ordered community, with good working relationships between children, staff and parents, where all members feel valued.
To develop individuals who respect the needs and views of others and who understand and value the importance of good manners and courtesy.
To engender in the children a sense of pride in their school and a respect for their environment, and an awareness of the outside community.
To provide a stimulating and challenging programme of the creative arts, enabling each child to express himself/herself, and to develop the natural gifts and talents they have been given.
To provide for the physical development of each child through a structured programme of exercise and playing team games, where they are taught to win, but never at the expense of sportsmanship and fair play.
To prepare the children for the next stage in their educational careers.
