Teaching and learning at St George's is characterized by its broad and exciting curriculum, its keen and interested pupils and the enthusiastic and committed staff.
A typical day for a St George's pupil might include: producing an animated film in double ICT; listening to varied percussion instruments in class music: writing a poem in rhyming couplets inspired by Roald Dahl in English; carrying out an experiment in Science and playing netball or football against a neighbouring school.
Learning environments vary from the brand new computer suite installed in our well resourced library, to the stunning sports fields in Home Park, to the more traditional classroom, all of which are fully equipped with interactive white boards.
All our pupils find many areas of the curriculum in which they can succeed and achieve at a high level. Pupil progress is carefully monitored to ensure that pupils achieve their full potential. Communication between school and home is frequent and supportive. Pupils move from class to class with a real curiosity and love of knowledge and new learning experiences.
Staff at St George's are dedicated and committed to the pupils’ well being and enjoyment of acquiring knowledge. From our Nursery Assistant to our Deputy Heads and Headmaster we pride ourselves on our wealth of experience in teaching and working with children from age 3 to 13.
