Latin & Greek

Latin at St George's is offered from Year 5.

In year five nearly all children study the 'Minimus' Primary School Latin Course by way of an introduction. In the Senior School about half the children study Latin with a view to offering the subject at Common Entrance or Scholarship level. The course currently used is Theo Zinn's 'Latin Prep' (So you really want to learn Latin), with the help of various computer programmes, DVDs and other aids.

Greek is also an option, currently studied in the morning Form Period in Year 8, and it has been started at senior schools by some students who did not have the time at St George's.
