I use Quicktime?
Playing and pausing movies

A. Playing movies
1. Status bar
As the movie loads the grey status bar lets
you know how much of the movie has been downloaded (see
below).

Above - about one third downloaded.
Below - three-quarters downloaded.

2. Press play
You can start playing the movie before
it has all downloaded. If you are connecting at normal speed
you should be able to press play almost immediately and
the movie will play straight through ( see connection
speeds for more information about this).
The play button is on the left end of the
bar (see below).

The middle button plays the movie (see below).

If you want to pause the movie press it again.
3. If the movie stops playing half way
through
If the download slows down - because the net
is very slow for example - the movie will pause. Press play
again when the movie has finished downloading (see below).

Above - the movie has downloaded.
B. You can't hear the
sound?
See the sound help
page.
C. Rewind / fast forward
To the right of the status bar are two buttons
that let you rewind or fast forward the movie (see below)

The third button lets you adjust your settings
for Quicktime, inclusing the connection
speed.
