St George's School is a happy, vibrant place, where children come in each day with a big smile on their faces and where the excitement of learning and discovering new things is achieved in an atmosphere of mutual support, care for the individual and traditional Prep School values.

School should be all about developing the confidence to learn, and our team of talented teachers aim to create a relaxed, yet purposeful, learning environment where children are challenged to think and where they are constantly encouraged and praised for effort, for initiative and for kindness and consideration towards everyone in our community, and the world beyond.

Although we have a very strong sense of history dating right back to our foundation in 1352, we are a forward-thinking school aiming to prepare our children for a rapidly changing modern world, where qualifications will not be the only criteria for success – today’s children will be tomorrow’s pioneers, and they will need the ability to communicate with, and relate to, a wide range of people – such skills should never be under-rated, and developing them is one of the corner stones of the education we offer.
