Key Stage 1

We continue the learning journey at Key Stage 1 ensuring a seamless transition between Reception and Year 1. 

Although we place a strong emphasis on English, Mathematics and Science, we believe in providing a broad and balanced curriculum thus ensuring that each individual fulfills his or her potential. ICT, Music, PE, French and DT are taught by specialist teachers but all other subjects are taught by our own committed and talented class teachers.

At Year 2 all children learn to play the recorder, have the opportunity to learn the violin and may join the Pre-Prep Choir. Many children begin individual instrumental lessons at this stage, too. The start of an exciting and varied musical career!

Our swimming pool enhances the PE curriculum for all children right from Nursery.
