Firstly we practice the psalms of the day and
we do a Magnificat and a Nunc Dimittis and an
anthem. We spend about half an hour on these and then we spend
the remaining time on the pieces, which are coming up in the
next week. If we make a mistake normally we just repeat it
and if the mistake is still there, then we do exercises to
remedy the mistake. We'll take the chunk out of it and we
go round the room to see who had the problem.
"When our eldest son was at his pre-prep school his
teacher asked us if we realised he could sing. She wondered
whether we would like him to be a chorister? We thought that
he hadn't got a good voice. He wasn't one to sing in the bath
or on the loo as his younger brother did.
"The boys are very, very close. They mix obviously from
the age of seven up to twelve or thirteen. They feel special.
In fact it seems that they're just like brothers. When you
see them on an outing all together they all act just like
brothers. They will all play together - the big ones with
the little ones. There is no rivalry or jealousy or anything,
they are all just one big happy family." - St George's
